Regardless if you are a new or an experienced rider, we offer lessons and trekking sessions for any age and ability, as well as a range of fun activities for children.

We are DBS checked and hold current Safeguarding and First Aid Certificates.

Billy

Billy has owned the Heart of Wales Riding School for 30 years, teaching all ages of clients from beginners to experienced.

She has been lucky to have ridden horses all her life, starting with Pony Club, producing young horses, showjumping on her mother’s horses, eventing, team chasing, point-to-point riding, and also riding in National Hunt Races.

She brings this wealth of experience to her friendly run yard. We are licenced with Powys County Council.

Kate

Kate has been with the Riding school for 23 years helping to teach children and adults. She works with Billy to make sure you enjoy learning to ride horses and ponies in a safe, well-managed environment.

Kate is also a duel certified equine-assisted professional, capable of working under two levels of scope.

As a therapeutic horsemanship coach, I can facilitate the learning of horsemanship skills. In her scope as an equine-assisted learning practitioner, she works with the horse as a medium to facilitate the learning of life skills. Both use ground-based activities, no riding.
